Iranian artillery strikes at militant positions near the northwestern border

TEHERAN, November 14. / TASS /. The ground forces of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, the elite units of the armed forces) launched an artillery strike on the positions of terrorist groups near the northwestern border of the country. This was reported on Saturday by the ISNA agency with reference to the press service of the IRGC.

It is noted that the blow was delivered "on the other side of the north-western border". At the same time, it is not specified which state territory is in question.

On Friday, three Iranian border guards were killed and two others were injured as a result of clashes with militants in the northwest province of West Azerbaijan. The Tasnim news agency informed that the attack was repelled, the armed forces of the Islamic republic did not allow the enemy to enter the country.
