During the day, the armed forces of Azerbaijan continued to keep under fire peaceful settlements in the conflict zone around Nagorno-Karabakh, as a result of which there are dead and wounded among the civilian population. The press secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia Shushan Stepanyan announced this on Wednesday on her Telegram channel.

The situation in the region escalated on September 27, active battles began in the disputed territory. Both sides reported killed and wounded, including civilians. Three ceasefire agreements have already been reached, but almost immediately both sides began to report their violation.
Baku and Yerevan have disputed the ownership of Nagorno-Karabakh since February 1988, when the region announced its secession from the Azerbaijan SSR. During the armed conflict of 1992-1994, Azerbaijan lost control over Nagorno-Karabakh and seven adjacent regions.
