BEIJING, October 26. / TASS /. President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping spoke on Monday at the opening of the fifth plenary session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC Central Committee) and presented the participants in the meeting with the draft of the 14th five-year plan for socio-economic development (2021-2025). This was reported by China Central Television.

"General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping made a presentation on the work of the Politburo, and also presented the draft of the 14th five-year plan for economic and social development and long-term targets for 2035," the report says.

Plenums of the CPC Central Committee are traditionally held in a closed format – the results of their work are announced in a carefully edited press release after the meeting.

The fourth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee was held in Beijing on October 28-31, 2019. It was attended by 202 members of the CPC Central Committee and 169 candidates for members of the Central Committee.
