The final round of the election debate between incumbent US President Donald Trump and Democratic contender Joseph Biden was watched by an estimated 63 million people on Thursday evening. Such estimates are presented in a message posted Friday on the site of the research service Nielsen.
"An estimated 63 million people have turned on their televisions to watch the final debate of the 2020 presidential election on Thursday, October 22, 2020," the service said. She monitored 15 American leading TV channels.
The verbal duel in Nashville, Tennessee was the last for Trump and Biden before the next general election in the United States on November 3. They will elect the president and vice president, all 435 members of the House of Representatives and a third of the Senate of Congress, governors of 13 states and territories.
The first Trump-Biden campaign debate, held September 29 in Cleveland, Ohio, was watched by an estimated 73.1 million people, according to Nielsen's calculations, on 16 American television channels.
