TASS, October 22. Militants of the radical Taliban movement (banned in the Russian Federation) fired at an area in the central part of Faryab province, located in northwestern Afghanistan. This was announced on Thursday by Afghan TV channel 1TV.

According to him, at least four civilians became victims of the shelling, another 14 people were injured of varying severity.

Earlier on Thursday, TOLOnews reported that about 12 civilians were killed and another 14 were injured in an air strike in the Baharak region of Takhar province. According to the channel, the raid was carried out by mistake. At the same time, it was not specified whether the strike was inflicted by the Afghan Air Force or by aircraft of the international coalition.

Later, the Afghan authorities denied information that civilians were killed during an air raid by the national air force in Takhar province last night. This, as reported on Thursday by the Afghan agency The Khaama Press, said the first vice-president of Afghanistan Amrullah Saleh. According to him, "the victims of the airstrike were the militants who killed our (Afghan) soldiers in this area."
