The Armenian people will be able to achieve an acceptable solution to the Karabakh conflict only with weapons in their hands, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Wednesday.
“Our further actions are a struggle to the end, in the name of the rights of our people. Regardless of what happens, we must fight for the rights of our people. Today, in the context of Azerbaijan’s position, to fight for the rights of our people means, first of all, to take arms in hands and stand in defense of our homeland. With the effective organization of this process, we will be able to reach an acceptable diplomatic solution for us, “Pashinyan said live on Facebook.
He noted that now Azerbaijan does not agree to anything except the surrender of Karabakh. “And this, you understand what it means,” Pashinyan added.
On September 27, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry announced the start of a military operation along the entire line of contact in the Karabakh conflict zone. According to the ministry, a “counter-offensive operation” was launched in response to provocations from the Armenian side.
For its part, Armenia announced an attack on the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) by Azerbaijan.
Fighting in the Karabakh conflict zone continues, despite two attempts to negotiate a “humanitarian truce”. The parties to the conflict suffer losses in manpower and equipment.
