Several Netflix movies are acclaimed and awarded, some have even stood out at the Oscars. But, since it has only been five years since the streaming service has produced its own features, it is too early to call them classics. Thinking about the future, Bula put together a list of 12 productions that will be considered mandatory for everyone who wants to understand the history of cinema. They will probably be known as the best works of the beginning of streaming. Among those selected are the suspense “O Poço” (2020), by Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia; the drama “Story of a Marriage” (2019), by Noah Baumbach; and the science fiction “Okja” (2017), directed by the award-winning Bong Joon-ho. The titles are organized according to the year of release.
