Iran’s judicial authorities issue a warrant for the arrest of US President Donald Trump and more than 30 people who, according to Tehran, are responsible for the assassination of Kuds Iran’s special forces Kassem Suleimani on January 3, the Associated Press (AP) reported.
According to Tehran’s prosecutor Ali Mehr, Trump and others are accused of “murder and terrorism.” But the prosecutor did not specify who, in addition to Trump, would like to arrest Iran.
He stressed that Iran intends to seek justice even after Trump leaves the presidency.
Mehr noted that Iran asked Interpol to issue a “red notice” – the highest priority – to apprehend Trump and those accused of killing Suleimani.
However, as the AP clarifies, Interpol has not yet commented on the request of the Iranian authorities.
January 3, 2020, it became known about the death in Baghdad, and Soleimani deputy commander of the Shiite militias in Iraq, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis as a result of the US raid, which was carried out by the US military on the instructions of Trump.
In response to the operation on the night of January 8th Iranian Revolutionary Guards struck ballistic missiles at Al-Asad airbase and military facility in Irbil area in Iraq, where US forces are located.
